What is MFA?
MFA, also known as Multi-Factor Authentication, two-factor authentication, and 2FA, is a secondary step to protect your online accounts. Once you log in with your username and password you will get a prompt to enter a code. Sometimes this is delivered by SMS but the better way is to use an authenticator app.
What this guide will do?
This guide will help you install the Authy app on iPhone or Android and then setup the authenticator app on some common websites. We selected Authy for this guide because it is free, available on both iOS and Android, and you can move it from device to device easily. We have a list of some common websites that you should setup for MFA. Others like many banks or credit cards use their own authentication via SMS or their app and wont use a third-party authenticator.
